Information Align handles
Photos and animations you create
When you use Align, the app may:
- Access the camera so you can take daily photos for your animation
- Store those photos and related project files locally on your device
- Create video or GIF exports locally on your device
- Access your photo library only if you choose to save or export an animation
These files and settings stay on your device unless you choose to share or save them elsewhere.
App preferences and project data
Align stores limited app data locally (for example in on-device storage and device settings), such as:
- Project lists and photo filenames
- Display preferences (such as transparency settings)
- Simple counters or dates used for app features
This information is used only to operate the app on your device.
Information we do not collect
Align does not collect:
- Account or login information
- Name, email, phone number, or payment details (the app does not process payments)
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers
- Analytics or usage tracking data
- Crash reports sent to us
- Photos or files uploaded to our servers (we do not operate a backend for Align)
How your information is used
Align uses the information described above solely to:
- Provide camera and photo features
- Save and manage your animation projects on your device
- Let you export and share animations when you choose to
We do not use your photos or app data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
Permissions
Align may request:
- Camera — to take the daily photos that make up your animation
- Photo Library — only to save the animations you create, when you choose to export them
You can change these permissions in iOS Settings.
Data retention and deletion
Because Align stores data on your device:
- You can delete photos and projects using the app’s features
- Uninstalling Align removes the app’s local data from your device (subject to normal iOS behavior)
We do not retain copies of your Align content on our servers because we do not receive it.
Children’s privacy
Align is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through Align, contact us and we will take appropriate steps. (In the current version of Align, we do not operate accounts or collect personal information remotely.)
Third-party services
Align does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, authentication, cloud storage, or payment services. The only third-party code used is for local on-device features (such as displaying GIFs).
Apple provides the App Store, device permissions, and system share/save features under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
International users
Align processes information locally on your device. We do not operate a cloud service that transfers your Align content internationally.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Updated” date above. Continued use of Align after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be noted in the App Store listing or an in-app notice when appropriate.
